1. Acknowledgment of Risk

By participating in any Family Strong event, program, or activity (“Event”), participants acknowledge that these activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Physical exertion and fatigue

• Use of weights, resistance equipment, and obstacles

• Slips, falls, or collisions

• Outdoor environmental conditions

Participants understand that these risks may result in serious injury, permanent disability, or death.

2. Assumption of Responsibility

Participation in Family Strong events is completely voluntary.

By attending, participants (and parents/guardians of minors) accept full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur.

3. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants (and parents/guardians) agree to:

Release, waive, and discharge Family Strong, its founders, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from:

• Injury (physical or emotional)

• Illness

• Property damage

• Death

This applies whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
 

4. Medical Responsibility

Participants confirm that they are:

• Physically capable of participating in the activities

• Not under any medical condition that would prevent safe participation

Family Strong does not provide medical insurance.

Participants are responsible for any medical costs incurred.
 

5. Parental Consent (Minors)

For participants under 18:

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent and agrees to:

• All terms outlined in this agreement

• Full responsibility for the minor’s participation

• Waiver of all claims on behalf of the minor
   

6. Conduct & Safety

Family Strong reserves the right to:

• Remove any participant for unsafe behavior

• Modify or cancel activities for safety reasons

Participants agree to:

• Follow all instructions given by staff/volunteers

• Respect others and maintain a safe environment
   

7. Media Release

By attending, participants grant permission for Family Strong to:

• Capture photos and videos

• Use likeness for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes

No compensation will be provided.
 

8. No Guarantees

Family Strong does not guarantee:

• Specific outcomes (physical, mental, or spiritual)

• Injury-free participation
   

9. Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Family Strong and its affiliates from any claims resulting from:

• Their own actions

• Their child’s actions

• Violation of these terms
   

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
 

11. Agreement

By participating in any Family Strong event, participants confirm they have:

• Read and understood these terms

• Voluntarily agreed to them
